Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 - Friday

We meet at Stourbridge Station and a short coach journey takes us to the gem of the Midlands - The Black Country Living Museum. What a place to start! Is this the most varied museum in the country? Trams, trolleybuses, industrial heritage, street scenes and an amazing boat trip into a cavern, are sure to keep you fully occupied this afternoon.

Day 2 - Saturday

The rolling Cotswold Hills and, of course, steam lovely steam, beckons today.  Our day begins with narrow gauge novelty at the Evesham Vale Light Railway near…Evesham, and is followed by a picturesque drive across the hills. Then, the focus of our afternoon is squarely upon the Gloucester & Warwick Railway. Running in two different directions from its Toddington HQ, time is allowed to fully appreciate the charms of the line. You might even get to see a horse race at the Cheltenham end – place your bets!

Day 3 - Sunday

This is our highlight steamy overload day. We are off to the Severn Valley Railway and its legendary gala day. Expect visiting locomotives, demonstration freight trains and loads going on. We will arm you with rover tickets and itinerary options enabling you to make the most of your time. You will certainly want to visit the excellent museum at Highley, perhaps stroll along the river at Bewdley, and enjoy an uplifting diversion in Bridgnorth with the Victorian cliff railway - what a day out!

Day 4 - Monday

Our final day sees us heading south and into Gloucester Docks for the excellent National Maritime Museum. While we are here, we must get on the water, and so a boat trip is obligatory. Early afternoon we transfer to Gloucester Station for homeward bound journeys to commence.
