UK & Eire Holidays

Unless specified within the brochure page our arrangements with the hotels are on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

European Holidays

Unless specified within the brochure page our arrangements with the hotels are on a bed and breakfast only basis enabling clients to sample the numerous local establishments rather than be limited to the hotel restaurant.

Common to all holidays

  • Hotel accommodation sharing a twin/double-bedded room or a single with private bathroom at the applicable supplement.
  • All coach and rail travel from the holiday start point. All rides, entrances to museums and other attractions within the itinerary.
  • Detailed holiday itinerary and information pack.
  • Services of courier throughout the holiday.

Our Itineraries

Inside Track holidays represent a comprehensive touring experience. We do not bulk out our itineraries with “free days” or “days at leisure” and this is reflected in the holiday price. We are committed to a value for money policy as opposed to a lower cost, less content approach.

The outline itinerary details within the brochure provide a flavour for each holiday though the order of events may be quite different when finalised. This process can still be evolving a week or so before the holiday starts enabling us to take advantage of local events and maximise flexibility. We often make “special” arrangements with operators to enhance a visit and we like to add surprise attractions, at no extra cost – of course.

Rail travel during the holiday

Unless specified in the holiday itinerary all rail travel is in standard class accommodation.

Hotels

The primary objective is to provide comfortable accommodation in a location geographically suitable to the area of each holiday. The hotels in our programme are generally of a three/four-star standard and cover a wide range of different styles in different locations. When evening meals are included we insist on multiple-choice menus (i.e. not set meals). We also encourage individual freedom to eat when you please within the hotel’s normal restaurant hours wherever this is possible. Where it isn’t possible this will be specified in the hotel description of that holiday. We expect single accommodation to sell very fast as most hotels limit the amount of single bookings they will accept. Also, we do have to pass on the single supplement charges that hotels impose upon us.

Coach travel during the holiday

Inside Track does not own it’s own fleet of coaches and so hires locally in any given area. All the operators we use are independent, reputable, fully qualified and highly experienced in their field. We do not operate a reserved seating policy on board and for comforts sake always use vehicles with greater seating capacity than physically required.

Travel to/from the holiday

All holidays start and finish at the points specified at invoice stage (60 days prior to departure) and travel from home is not included.

If arranging your own rail tickets please check start/finish times with us prior to finalising any bookings as these details can vary from those suggested in the outline itineraries (see above).

Most people elect to travel to the meeting point by rail and, as Inside Track is a fully accredited A.T.O.C. Rail Agency, we can provide a complete ticketing service. Simply show your start (home) station on the booking form and we will supply your rail tickets, at the same price you could purchase them elsewhere, along with reservations and a detailed journey itinerary. If you have a railcard (senior citizen, for example) indicate this also so that we can apply the appropriate discount. Fares are not always available at the time of booking so your confirmation may state T.B.A. (to be advised).
